Disco Lemonade is an IPA with Lemondrop hops, lemon peel, lemon juice and a touch of lactose for that silky finish. This is a summer crusher!

So, when life gives you lemons... You obviously make lemon beer! Going whole hog (or in this case, whole fruit) its the juice, the peels and even the hops that mimic lemon character that goes into Mikerphone's IPA that celebrates the citrus fruit in its utmost glory.
Hazy and goldenrod, the heady beer grabs the nose immediately with its strong citronella perfume. But with a backdrop of pastry malts and a hint of angel food cake, the beer's first taste evokes memories of lemon meringue pie.
And that's the trek that the ale will stay, even as it releases its tepid and underlying sweetness. The brightness of overt lemon is met with more subtle orange, grapefruit and guava, giving an impression of agave and then margarita. Perhaps a drink umbrella is in order. But then the bitterness resets the beer tones as a sharp, herbal, lemony and fragrant wood bite brings a sassafras, tea and somewhat furniture polish bite to the end of the session.
Medium bodied but trending lighter and drier, the malts continue to fade and the beer ventures nearer and nearer straight up lemonade and then lemon juice, equipped with a soft pectin bite and a brisk citrus peel oiliness. A long aftertaste of lemon, lemon and more lemon keeps this citrusy taste reaching deep into the next quick drink.

A - Pours a cloudy soft yellow.
S - Aroma is lemon and flowery.
T - Flavor has floral and lemon notes.
M - Carbonation is below average, mouth feel is soft.
O - Yes initially you think about lemon pledge. But that is not really it. It does not come off like lemonade, more like a lemon flower. Very nice IPA, very different from the typical Mikerphone IPA. I wish I bought 2.
