Tasted in a tumbler from draft at the Mikerphone Brewing tap room on May 25, 2018. Double milkshake IPA brewed with pink guava, apricot, lactose, vanilla and Mosaic hops. Very good.

 

On draft at Mikerphone. Looks thick and milky with a slight pinkish hue. Smells like fruit, fruit, fruit and a little vanilla. Taste is kind of crazy - Like a guava milkshake up front, but with a pretty strong hop bitterness that hits you at the end. I have to say, it wasn't my favorite from Mikerphone, but it was good. I think the hop bitterness level was maybe a bit too much. It almost didn't register correctly on my tongue. Initially, it felt like it was spicy, and then I realized that it was just bitter. Definitely worth a try though!

 

 

Interesting beer. Unfiltered, cloudy lighter golden yellow body. One finger white head. Short retention. Smell is lactose, stone fruit, a bit of guava, touch of raw vanilla bean, sweet tapioca. Grapefruit. Flavour follows. A bit less of the vanilla, more of the lactose and grapefruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, good carbonation, minimal bitterness. In a lot of ways, this isn't really tasting much like an IPA.
