12 ounce bottle into a snifter. Had 9/28/18.
Pours near black and opaque, with a quarter inch quickly dissipating head and some spotty cling. The aroma starts with a big blast of cinnamon, followed by chocolate, cocoa, toffee, malt, some vanilla, light oak. The flavor also ignites with the cinnamon, although not as much as the nose. Vanilla, malt, some chocolate, light bourbon, a little coconut. Smooth, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.
The cinnamon is incredible, and it’s really good overall- if mostly straightforward. The barrels are fairly non- existent, and as good as it is, there’s a pretty high price point that comes with that barrel aged stamp.
