Blueberry was present but the maple was not.

On draft. Dark black body, one finger offwhite head. Blueberry pancakes, slightly roasty coffee, with a decent maple sweetness undergirding the entire thing. It's a bit thinner than usual, presumably from the fruit addition, but is otherwise medium bodied, reasonably viscous with a nice fruitiness to it that definitely makes it different than the other variants and definitely when compared to the regular version. I can see it being a love it or hate it variant, but that's the case for fruits and stouts in general, isn't it?

On tap at the brewery - Elk Grove Village, IL. Black body with a purple-brown head that fades to a foam. Smells like blueberry pancakes - Cracker Barrel perhaps - blueberry, lots of maple syrup, minimal coffee. Very sweet flavors: once again blueberry pancakes with maple syrup, coffee, dark chocolaten but sweet sweet sweet - whoa. Full body, creamy and smooth, modest carbonation, so cloyingly sweet. I would pass on this one in the future. Way too sweet for me. I need some insulin.
