Dark brown pour with micro-thin lacing, no carbonation. Chocolate syrup, cocoa, and doughnut aroma. Chocolate, sweet cocoa, doughnut, chocolate char grit underneath gives a little bit of a charcoal presence. Full body, slick, viscous, lip smacking sticky. An interesting dessert style of beer.

Nice black with speckled brown pour, with prominent dark brown foam head. Smell is doughnut-like, with sugary glaze, cocoa, milk, sweet bread, and roasted malt. Taste is not as doughnut-like due to the larger presence of the roasted malt and booze, though this is proceeded by sweet coffee creamer and doughy flavors. Definitely tastes like a sweet breakfast. Body is sneaky thick and full, with cloying cumulative sweetness

This is what you expect when you hear donut beer. Definitely on the sweet side but enough body to back it up.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a 750 ml bottle on October 6, 2018. A doughnut inspired imperial stout brewed with cocoa nibs, lactose, condensed milk and vanilla. Better than most because it keeps the sweetness in check.

Appearance: Arrives espresso colored with a tan cap; strands of lacing linger
Smell: Pastry tones of chocolate, brown sugar and streusel
Taste: Sweetened chocolate forward with streusel and powdered sugar; after the swallow, the doughnut sweetness builds
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation
Overall: Designed to be a doughnut stout, the brewers have achieved their objective
