2018 release. Really enjoying this. So much so I'm planning to drink my remaining bottles soon as this is the perfect window for me. ymmv. Still plenty of heat but it has toned down since release. Typical dark color. Nice thickness, full mouthfeel. Just a solid, well executed BA RIS. No additives needed and none present. Not overly sweet which I appreciate as well. I hope they release this again.

Moderately thick with a little bit of tan head. Smell and taste full of dried fruit and chocolate, with a good amount of bourbon heat and wood presence. Enough that it's there, but not enough that it makes it hard to drink. Really nice beer. Compared to something like BCBS, I think this one has more of the base beer flavor come though, while BCBS gets a little more barrel.

Tasted in a tumbler from draft at Mikerphone Brewing on November 30, 2018. Russian Imperial Stout aged in Heaven Hill barrels. Notes of bourbon and charred oak.
