Coffee forward without being bitter or over roasted. I feel like the specific coffee used has really elevated the flavor. Slightly sweet aftertaste.

Tasted in a tumbler from draft at Mikerphone Brewing on December 21, 2108. Imperial stout brewed with Portola Sumatra Coffee. Coffee overpowers the malt and hops.

750ml bottle, snifter glass. Dark black body, oily, good legs, one finger mocha head, good retention, not much lacing. Smell is massive coffee bean, on the sweeter side with more of a mildly astringent, cold brew coffee presence than any other form of coffee, strong milk chocolate, a bit of fudgy dark chocolate, light grainy malt, touch of earth, more coffee. Flavour follows; coffee is dominant but without being too astringent or undrinkable. Full bodied, creamy, thicc but not too sweet, just the appropriate amount of sweet chocolate backing up the big chocolate flavour. Great balance of strong flavours.
