Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a 750 mL bottle on April 6, 2020. Imperial breakfast stout brewed with Tugboat Sumatra Blue Batak coffee and maple syrup. Dark, roasty, rich and thick.

Viscous black pour from the bottle, with no head save a thin brown collar. Coffee is milder than last special roast but still omnipresent in the aromas, with maple next, then dark chocolate, with caramel, earth, and fudge all in the background. It really balances nicely. This special roast variation actually sees the maple and vanilla start us off in the taste, before bringing coffee and dark chocolate in to play, with caramel and earth to help finish. Not as sharp contrasting as the other special roast, but is really delicious, like a decadent espresso and maple truffle. Body stay airy from the coffee, plus has some earthiness within the sticky viscosity. Put this in a barrel please!
