12oz can into snifter

L- Dark pour that produced slight amount of caramel colored head. Light lacing
S- Coffee and Pancakes...roasty and sweet
T- A lot more coffee and pancakes. Very sweet and with a distinct coffee flavor, prominent maple
F- Good mouth feel, slightly thick and coats well
O- I like it, definitely on the sweet side, so you'll probably only do one in a night

Deep dark brown with loads of foam on aggressive pour. Roasty coffee dominates. It’s nice. No hint of green pepper gremlins. Just roasty, bitter coffee with some bitter chocolate flavors. Sweet but not over the top, thanks to that coffee. Medium feel.

The next variant of Imperial Smells Like Bean is the special roast. Maple coming through just like the base beer but this one is much thicker in texture. A lot more coffee roast as well. Delicious.

Saw a bomber of this and had to pick it up. Pours with a dark color with minimal but lasting tan lacing. Smell is dark roast coffee and sweet maple, malty base. Taste is coffee and maple, less than expected off the smell, but prevalent and well balanced. Medium bodied, not too bold, a bit of oiliness, a definite boozy presence. Glad it’s a big bottle, will let it warm to see how it develops. Real tasty, excellent beer.

Note: warms well, really rounds out.

Had on tap. 3/3 on making great coffee stouts for the special roast series. Again great pitch black body with a tan cap. Against spectacular coffee roast depth in the nose, earthy, tons of maple, chocolate, and leather. Taste I detect slight licorice in the finish with everything from the nose, great earthy roast is pervasive. Feel is pretty full but not overly heavy, earthy, roasted, and the smoothest of the series though not as complex feeling. All around great coffee stout
