Pours a dark cola brown and settles black in the glass with a nearly non-existent tan head and floaties on the top of the body. I’ll simply say this is not the most appealing look I’ve seen in an impy stout.
The nose is STRONG with cocoa and vanilla notes, and there’s a smidge of coconut and less of a smidge of the barrel, which is a surprise given the floaties, which look a lot like flakes of coconut.
The taste is dominated by the cocoa and vanilla, with again the slightest vestiges of the coconut and barrel. This is very sweet, verging on cloying.
The mouthfeel is full and creamy, on par for a double milk stout. This beer is a “share beer” for dessert, IMHO.

2023 edition bottle pour - pours thicc and black with a thin, dissipating head. Nose is nondescript barrel aged stout. Flavor is knee-buckling chocolate and coconut. Finish has just enough burn to avoid 'beetus territory.
