Looks great, dark brown think and a nice coffee color head
Smells amazing, like fresh coffee with a heap of maple syrup
Sweeter than I’d prefer on the taste, getting to be too much so. I definitely get crazy cinnamon out of this for a beer with no actual cinnamon in it, just from the coffee. Cool, but a bit to syrupy for me to rate higher.

Just a really nice beer. It has pretty much everything going for it. It could e a tad fuller in body but this is one I would certainly have again. If you see it give it a try !

The third variant of ISLBS featured French toast flavored coffee from Bones Coffee Co. I've never heard of such a thing but it really comes through in this stout. It is very decadent and the French toast really amps up the sweetness.

Pours pitch black with a finger and a half of a dense and creamy mocha, slightly reddish, head that dissipates slowly.
Aroma is maple syrup, some coffee roast, cinnamon, slight nutmeg, milk chocolate, bittersweet chocolate chip, caramel, and slight vanilla. Smells sweet from the maple, but the cinnamon spice and light coffee roast balance it out slightly.
Taste is surprisingly balanced between coffee and maple syrup. More coffee roast than the aroma led on. For me, flavored coffee typically comes off mild on the roast, so I anticipated this to be quite sweet. But the coffee is bold and adds a much needed roast component to the beer. It also adds a nice presence of cinnamon and some slight nutmeg. All of this balances out the sweet components of the beer, which are maple syrup, vanilla, caramel, and milk chocolate. Roasted malt and cocoa powder shine through as well.
Low full body. Creamy, silky, sticky, oily. Soft carbonation.
The flavored coffee makes this one a bit more complex and balanced than the other ISLBS variants. Certainly does remind you of french toast with the cinnamon/nutmeg spice and the maple syrup. Breakfast in a glass.

Medium black with a full finger of brown foam. Smell has more cinnamon and maple to it than the other special roasts so far, chocolate and coffee are the other main aromas. Taste is milder than expected, good chocolate, light roast coffee with maple, vanilla, cinnamon, and subtle earth. Goes down easy given the abv, frothy, full but not heavy at all. Good coffee stout per usual from mikerphone
