a collaboration with eagle park, which is where i had it. one of those new school sour types, hard to even really call it a beer, although i guess this has a little more grain character to it than a lot of them do. its messy looking but it tastes good, murky pinkish, poorly refined to me, thick and sedimented and without much carbonation apparent. it smells like tangy pie cherries, mouthwatering even with the little bit of bacterial pucker that comes through. i definitely can appreciate graham cracker in here, does the pie crust thing, and is as forward as any other element, a honey note, even the dusty crumbly texture comes through to me. sourness is light, cheese aspect is weird and a little bit gross, but ive had enough of these now to not mind it or be shocked by it anymore. the flavor is equally fruit and graham driven, i like how bold the graham part is, and the cherries dont add much sweetness, more tang to me. not overly cheese forward which is nice, and this drinks slightly cleaner than it looks, although it feels heavy still, almost grossly so, pushing into that smoothie realm. the flavors are good, no denying, but it really could use some polishing up, this is messy beer, and a full glass is a tall order. neat collaboration between these two, and obviously this would work with a number of fruits if they wanted to get a series going, but i was hoping for a little better beer from an objective quality standpoint...
