a: pours pitch black. no noticeable head.
s: chocolate, oak, vanilla, some rye spice in the background
t: follows on from the nose for the most part. Dark chocolate, oak, bourbon and vanilla, some rye spice on the back end
m: medium to heavy thickness. carbonation on the lower end. a bit sticky.
o: Have had this in the cellar/fridge for some time. Solid no-frills BA stout once reaching about room temp. It does seem to have mellowed some so my preference would have been to have had it a bit earlier but a respectable BA stout after 4+ years.

Tar black appearance, brown ring. Baker's chocolate, rye whiskey, dark oak, black strap molasses, and a kiss of char in the nose. Taste also leads with the barrel and baker's chocolate, nougat, molasses, and toasted caramel form a soft sweet center of the sip before earth and more barrel carry it all home. You can really feel the rye and oak within the smooth yet viscous body, heat is present but not overwhelming at all. Not as deep as DBA TtBB, but does well to feature barrel as well
