poured from a 500mL bottle into proper mikerphone 7-year stemware. pours a fairly thick black with minimal mocha brown head. aromas of spicy cinnamon and bourbon barrel mesh with a light chocolate base stout. there’s a bit of roast but it’s more adjunct, barrel and subdued chocolate base stout. taste follows and i’m loving every sip of it. maybe i had lower expectations because in my mind cinnamon is something that needs to play off another adjunct or two but it works so well here by itself. silky milk chocolate and cinnamon with a full mouthfeel. almost too easy to drink. this one was a bit of a dark horse for me in the 7-year set.
