Sampling a cellar temp 500 ml bottle. Im pouring into my trusty snifter. The beer pours a jet black color with minimal dense tan head of 1cm foaming up. This foam does stick around but only as a thin edge layer on the glass.
The aroma on the beer is dark chocolate, roasted notes, some light vanilla and a good bit of bourbon. No hint of hop character at this point.
The first sip of this brew reveals a medium to thicker body with syrupy texture and fine tingly carbonation. Feels like a pretty hefty beer on my palate.
Flavor on this beer is robust with dark chocolate and brown sugar mixing with a heavy dose of bourbon that lingers after each swallow. It isnt boozy, more the flavor of bourbon. In fact the beer doesnt have much of a warming factor at all. There is a bit of a roasted malts note too, but the bourbon carries the day. As expected, the hops dont show up at all.
I enjoy this brew and am very glad to have tried it. Definitely feel the 13.62 % before the bottle is empty! Nice brew!

Pours thicc, oily, viscous, and black as night. Not much of a head to speak of other than some fleeting bubbles when the beer is poured. The aroma is really pungent with notes of boozy bourbon and oak up front with underlying notes of vanilla, roasted malts, milk chocolate and cream. This is one of those beers where the barrel really is the star of the show and this is immediately clear from the aroma.

The taste continues that theme - notes of oak, bourbon, roasted malts, vanilla, and vanilla cream. What's really impressive to me is that although this is a bourbon forward stout, it's in no way a "hot" beer. There is a moderate amount of sweetness to the beer. Feel is medium to full bodied, smooth, and rich. Moderate carbonation.

Overall it's a delicious stout that showcases the Four Roses Bourbon whiskey barrels.

Warehouse Liquors and Mikerphone coming together to produce a boozy brew. Warehouse selected the barrels and Mikerphone made it happen. It is a pure BA beer aged with a very good bourbon. It is just booze e ought with a heat medium body. Both sides did a great job with this one.
