Imperial stout aged in a Peerless Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey barrel and a Weller wheated bourbon barrel, then aged in apple brandy barrels.

500 ml bottle into a snifter. 2022 release, had 2/18/23.
Pours near black and opaque, with no head and no lacing. Aromas of bourbon, apple brandy, malt, oak, chocolate, some vanilla. Flavors of apple brandy, bourbon, vanilla, malt, wheat, chocolate, light oak. Smooth, a solid full body, appropriately carbonated.
Straightforward and focused, but this is an impressive effort. The apple brandy barrels are the star, the bourbon barrels are delicious as well, and the base is solid. Just delicious.
