500 ml bottle into a snifter. A 2023 release, had 3/1/25.
Pours a mostly opaque dark cola color- dark ruby in the light, with a brief head and light foamy lacing, to go with a ring of foam that trails down the glass. Aromas of bourbon, caramel, raisin, brown sugar, malt, some fig, light oak. The flavors follow the nose: bourbon, caramel, oak, fig, raisin, malt, some brown sugar. There’s a good amount of alcohol warming. Smooth, a very good medium body, well carbonated.
Hot ‘n boozy, but still really good. The Buffalo Trace barrel is terrific and there’s lots of expressive aromas and flavors. This opens up when fully warmed. Good stuff.

Had on tap. Black shimmering body, light brown cap. Smell is laced with boozy bourbon, with only dark fruit, namely fig, and molasses left to contend with this. Yet again I find with Mikerphone they bury the barley and malt flavors when the barrel aged the barleywine, sweet and jammy dark fruit and mild maple fit into the bourbon reign. Feel is too hot, shows off the barrel character in a boozy way but there is nothing else really, lighter bodied even
