500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 6/14/24.
Pours near black and opaque, with a quickly dissipating short head and some oily smear on the glass. Aromas of bourbon, chocolate, roasted malt, oak, vanilla, fig, light tobacco. The flavors are fairly alike: bourbon, vanilla, oak, malt, chocolate, raisins, some fig, light tobacco. Smooth, a solid full body, appropriately carbonated.
This is flat out great. Terrific barrels, a solid base, vibrant and distinct aromas and flavors. Wish I bought another.

Bring me that 500ML barrel aged stout! After drinking IPAs in California for the past five days I’m about a quart low on stout. This should help.
Black, with barely any short-lived life on a hard pour. The nose is entirely drip-brewed bourbon.
Nursing the Patience is a study in Barrels for Dummies. The Buffalo Trace barrels bring stellar bourbon echoes, booze, & a divine aftertaste. There is some sweet malt to support the barrel, but it’s not the Lloyd Cole of this show. Clean, heavy, easy to sip.
This is a gem of a straight-up barrel aged stout. Nothing fancy. Just delicious.
