500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 10/11/24.

Pours near black and opaque, with no head and a little oily smear on the glass. Aromas of bourbon, roasted malt, prunes, oak, light chocolate, light caramel and brown sugar. Flavors of bourbon, roasted malt, oak, prunes, some chocolate, light caramel. Smooth, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.

This gets straight to the point, no frills- strong and delicious barrels, bold, focused and fairly distinct aromas and flavors. Quite good.

Matte black with a tan head that quickly recedes to a fuzzy collar.

A big, fusel nose becomes surprisingly dry on the palate, which features a good combination of roast, tannin and barrel, though still with a little heat.

Another solid blend for Mikerphone...what madness is this that the kindness of strangers on Dark Lord Day is slowly shifting my unimpression of this whackadoodle brewery.
