No date on can, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a bright but murky yellow with pillowy lasting foam, very very nice. Aroma is creamy citrus with a little grapefruit, all vibrant fruit scents. Flavor follows the nose with juicy clementine, grapefruit pith, a little earthiness, and a good bitter kick. There's some great fruit flavors here but that earthy bitterness does it quite well. There's a very fresh orange juice note on the back end accompanying some soft bready malt as well that is fantastic. All of the hop flavors are incredibly vibrant and it's extremely juicy but NOT TOO SWEET thank goodness. Mouthfeel is great, medium bodied but no alcohol presence, and not too thick. I feel like the 7% does this a lot of favors to keep it drinkable and lively while still keeping the intense flavors promised by the hop bill.
Overall, I haven't sought out any Xul beers, and bought this solely to try Mikerphone, but based on other collaborations I've had involving Xul, I simply must try their beers. This one is an extremely good NEIPA that I had extremely low expectations for, and possibly my most pleasant surprise of the summer thus far. It's 3-dimensionally juicy and incredibly fresh, and I drank it far too fast.
