on draft at the brewery
dark amber in color, off-white colored head. aroma is a nice mix of kilned or caramel malt and dank hops. taste is similar, good balance between the sweetness of malt and hop bitterness, but fairly bitter. medium bodied. Reminded me of Nugget Nectar.

How to brew an IPA without making a beer that's intended to travel to India at room temperature? Let's see. Add a little honey, some grapefruit, maybe just enough kick to brighten your day. Hops, joy, timing. Yes, that's how it's done.

Very good. For 8% it goes down easy and smooth. It is malty but the lighter body makes it very palatable. Not much hop.

Poured from a growler into a narrow pint glass: color is amber, on the darker side; head is off white with fine to small bubbles; head lingered well and then remained a small thin top.
Smell is big malt, lots of great toast and caramel balance, a touch sweet but nice at this strength; nice grainy undertone. Hops are earthy, but noticeable and not overtaking the malt.
Taste is is similar to the aroma with a huge dose of toast, caramel, light toffee malts, hops are noticeable again with subtle earthiness light biting bitterness that builds after the liquid is gone.
Mouthfeel is a bit on the sweeter/cloying side; not a knock but definitely a sweeter ale than a biting/bitter/dry amber ale.
Overall, a very well crafted strong amber ale with great aroma and big flavors.

Sampling a cold crowler courtesy of my bro Curt. thanks man!
the beer pours a clear mahogany with deep garnet highlights in the edges. Limited lazy bubbles rise to the surface. A fluffy beige head of 3 cm foams up and fades slowly with some large pockmarking craters as the bubbles pop.
The aroma is grainy and husky malt with a bit of caramel and hints of bready yeast. I dont really get much hops beyond a general floral note or two. I expected a bit more hop nose, for an amber, but its not a problem.
First sip reveals an average body with very fine tingly carbonation and a smooth texture.
Flavor is rich and malty with caramel and actually a bit of brown sugar mixing with a bit of light fruit and finishing with some dry bitter hop flavor that lingers on my palate after the swallow. I also have a solid tingly sensation from the carbonation.
No hint of the ABV on this beer....8%??? I almost dont believe that to be possible.
A sweeter maltier amber than I expected, but I like it and find it amazingly easy to drink, especially considering the ABV.

Draft offering at Zeroday served in a tulip shaped pint glass. The brew displays a polished clarity of amber with an off-white cap that holds decent fading leaving patches of lace. Aroma and taste are bready and fresh with solid focus on the malt sweetness somewhat leaning toward caramel/toffee with a fruity alcohol inclusion. It is medium bodied, modestly carbonated and devoid of anything "off." Quite clean and easy drinking. At $6 a pint I dont think its something I would revist but if you never had it, its worth checking out.
