A thanks to the maharaja of malt liquor, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a rich golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of candy canes. Taste is candy canes, very minty, light malts, hints of fluff. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, not bad, I won't be needing another, but it gets props for uniqueness.

I want to get my review in before my local. in-person trader, tone77, makes his pick-up & drop-off in a day or two. The label features some disturbing artwork, but it is just a day in the life of The CANQuest (tm).

I honestly had no idea what to expect as I Crack!ed open the vent. I could really smell peppermint, though! I CANmenced a slow, gentle pour into the awaiting glass as I tried to maintain whatever semblance of dignity I had remaining. Unbidden, it fluffed up to produce two-plus fingers of foamy, soapy, rocky, bone-white had with decent retention, leaving behind modest lacing. Color was Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) with NE-quality clarity, calling forth The Gelt Gang of Midas, Croesus & Mammon who have no shame in their game either. Nose was heavy with peppermint, but it obscured everything else to the point that both Style and Marshmallow Fluff were lost. Mouthfeel was thin and watery. Meh. The taste was rather sweet & definitely pepperminty, but it lent the whole thing a one-note quality. I could not taste anything beyond peppermint. Finish was sweet, more like a dessert beer or simply a novelty beer, which it really was. I'll be interested to see what tone77 thinks.
