Sampling a cold 16 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug. Beer has been in my fridge for at least 2 years, no date stamp on the can.
The beer pours a very light champagne gold, extremely pale leaving the can and only slightly darker in my glass. A fizzy bleached white head of 1 cm foams up and fades quickly to a thin edging. Some scattered lattice forms when I take sips or swirl the beer.
Aroma is sort of mild, with a little biscuit or scone scent and some light lemon notes and grassy hops. Definitely nothing too robust on the nose.
First sip reveals a light body with smooth texture and very fine , prickly carbonation. Texture is smooth and a little on the watery thin side. So this beer drinks very easy.
Flavor is similar to the nose advertisements, with biscuit and lemon mixing and here there is a little fruit sugaryness, maybe pear note. Definitely a light flavor and brief, but the sweetness hits my palate each sip. Finish does dry out a little and some black tea bite lingers. Never any hint of the booze, which is low. The beer is fairly crushable and still interesting, I wonder if this has changed very mush over the several years in my fridge. Good warm weather brew.
