Appearance - 4.0
Pours a finger of off-white head which slowly receded over a clear, amber to light orange body.
Smell - 3.5
Toffeeish malt and a very rounded fruitiness (goosberries and apple) that I tend to think comes from both hop and yeast. Nelson Sauvin doesn't shine as clearly as it perhaps should.
Taste - 4.0
Opens up with gently toasted malt flavour and a little toffee sweetness, before moving the Nelson Sauvin comes to play. Flavours reminiscent of a crisp, fruity white wine - goosberries, lychee and tart grape. Finishes moderately bitter with a fruity red apple character.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
Medium bodied with fine carbonation, making for a very smooth drink that is easy to consume quickly.
Overall - 4.0
Having drunk this beer before and been underwhelmed I can only conclude that it has improved. Like a classic APA, only with a more toffeed malt character, fruitier yeast and unorthodox hop bill! An interesting take on the style and a lovely, sessionable ale.

Light, fruity aroma with notes of mango and grape.
Clear, pale gold colour with a creamy white head. Poor retention but nice lacing.
Smooth, light background malt. Moderate bitterness. Mild fruity hop character.
Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Crisp and tasty.
A clean, crisp refreshing ale. Very nice if a little mild for my tastes.

I have to admit this brew caught my eye as ive had some of billabong's brews before but havnt had any of them for ages and most of their range is gluten free so sometimes that puts me off so i dont really revisit them but this one has different labeling from their norm label with a painting of some form on it this one has a photo of some fresh lovely hops with a big N.S.A in white writing on red and the spin on the label does not say what style this brew is supposed to be but ill work it out anyway it pours a see thru light golden hue with average carbonation that leaves a fast vanishing two finger head and some clingy lacing here and there, the aromas are grapefruit, gooseberries and raspberries a very inviting aroma,it has an above average mouthfeel which is nicely carbonated but still allows the flavours to come through which are mainly gooseberry, grapefruit, tangelo and the finish is quite crisp and dry and only a tad bitter which made me think this is not an AIPA but more of a APA and i have to say its very drinkable and would love to see on tap.
