DATE: December 23, 2021... OCCASION: we made it to the holiday break, and all is well again... GLASSWARE: HopDevil nonick... pours a hazy light golden body with active bubbles creating a filmy, creamy off-white head... smells of metallic hops, pungent lemon detergent, light spices like nutmeg and tea, and butternut.... an odd mix... watery, easy-drinking, with a flourish of effervescence at the finish... the body doesn't hang around long... sweet, honeylike start, with the nutmeg and lemon taking center stage... despite the list of ingredients on the can, the cinnamon and clove don't make it to the mouth, though I trust they are in there... that said, I like the soda-like quality that insinuates a more complex experience... this works well enough as an all-day drinker for the holidays, thought the flavor isn't bold enough to distinguish itself from other seasonals...
