Another beer from the Baja trip of Summer 2017. I was amazed how much beer culture had changed (for the better) since my last time down there just a few years earlier.
Pours a malty amber color, 3/4" off white head. Looking at the hop bill and the classic "C" hops going on, my mind went to the late 90s ipas. But the Amarillo hop is used here and it hits those aroma OG notes, brighter citrus beyond just grapefruit rind, there is also a hint of orange, pine and hay. Didn't smell of as much caramel as I thought it could have.
Taste is good, nice mixture of hop bitterness and the usual C hop pine/bitter citrus taste impact, light caramel notes and a hint of stone fruit. This is a legit beer that showcases hops. I'd say the pine bitterness is the most prominent thing going in the taste and mouth feel. The beer reminds me of like a mix between Deschutes Inversion and Mirror Pond. I'd guess the ibus were about 65 here.

Served in a munique glass, it pours a clear golden color of a dark hue, with a two-finger creamy head, with very good retention. Very good lacing.
The bouquet is very tropical, with lychees, mango, passion fruit, pineapple.
Such a good balance in the taste. The strong hoppy profile of Lycan lupus does not reflects itself in the bitterness of this beer, as it is quite mild and attenuated with a delicious and moderate sweetness; and so you get all the tropical notes without the overpowering bitterness.
Citric and tropical with the aforementioned notes. It has a herbal freshness to it as well. The malty backbone is so subtle and well disguised, yet very present.
Medium to low body, nice carbonation.
A very good American IPA.

Look: It pours golden with an off white head. Head retention is moderate.
Smell: Strong aroma of citrus, some stone fruit, and a hint of grass.
Taste: The stone fruit, apricot, is more prominent in the taste as the citrus. There is also some pine and grain in the background.
Feel: It has a moderate body with a moderate aftertaste that is long lasting.
Overall, it is a very aromatic and strong hoppy ipa with a pleasant taste combination of stone fruit, citrus and pine.

Golden color with a huge thick mushroom beige head with eternal retention and leaving laces.
Initial delicious tropical aroma with notes of mango, lychees, spices, fresh oranges and pineapple.
Hoppy and citrusy flavor with notes of mango, grapefruit, pine, tea bags, perfume, toasted malts, spices and resin. Dry and bitter aftertaste with a residual spicy and toasted note.
Medium body with strong carbonation, very effervescent, it could be tuned down. Alcohol of 5.7% abv may be felt on a higher note.
Decent and by the book American IPA. If you tune down carbonation, it could be even better.

On Tap @ Cerveza Fauna's tasting room inside Plaza Fiesta in Tijuana out of a Pint Glass.
A: Amber colored with a crystal clear appearance. Nice vibrant levels of carbonation.
S: Floral and Piney notes come through on the nose.
T: Hops taste matches the smell starts Flowery and continues to burst with Pine Resins that linger until giving way to a bitterness that ends in an extremely well balanced finish.
M: Crisp and clean mouthfeel sparkling and refreshing.
O: A very satisfying American IPA that is true to style, hop flavors are big and bold but the ABV makes it very approachable and sessionable.

Nice thick head. Fruity, with subtle notes of peach. Very hoppy. Definitely one of the best Mexican IPAs out there.

Very well balanced mexican IPA, smells amazing and tastes great. This brewery sells great beer. Pours deep golden with a white wide foam head. Excellent beer.
