Gold and bubbly, akin to a cider. The Pilsner isn’t a very strong style so I understand using it as a canvas for the Brett, but unfortunately pretty much any of the Pilsner are lost. That said, I enjoy Brett and there is certainly plenty of that classic tart farmhouse / earthy flavors, the body is spot-on etc

i liked this, but i also have to confess i had higher hopes for it, especially after being so well acquainted with a lot of the other brett beers these guys make, which always seem so mature and refined to me, subtle in the right ways, but professionally done with the brett. this one seems either like a happy accident or really new, maybe both. the brett is yet to fully set in and dry this out and make it funky, but at the same time, the lager yeast dried it out pretty well, which means there may not have been much for the brett to work on when it was introduced, i dont know exactly how they made it, but it seems like the brett isnt real well incorporated quite yet, it stands out as sort of cerealy and wild and uncomfortable mixing in. its not bad or stinky or anything, it just isnt as complex and nuanced and layered in as i am used to from these guys. i get the lager yeast and a light but flavorful and quality pils underneath it all. i think in another few months this will be much improved, it really does seem like some maturity is all its missing. i hope i get the chance to revisit it at that time...
