-clear, golden tap pour with a nose of oak and apricot. The thin effervescence diminishes immediately. The flavor is moderately tart with oak and stone-fruit prominent. There is a vinous quality. The brew is not acrid or bitter at all This is a superb sour.

Pours a light red. Smells a bit funky, and tastes a bit sour. Not my favorite of the Allagash offerings, but still a decent beer and not too bad to drink.

On tap at Vermont Tap House.
Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a fairly bright yet pale yellow color with a small bar pour's kind of foamy head. Quickly dissolving to barely leave any lace.
The aroma had peaches, pineaples and other tropical fruity sweets while meshing with some yeasty sweet to wheaty character.
The flavor moderately leaned towards the sweet end while bringing in a subtle Belgian sort of sweet wheaty tone and mixing it up with a touch of tart to sour appeal. Mild aftertaste of peaches, pineapples and wheat.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Good carbonation and some stickiness. Finishes with the peaches and some wheat.
Overall, odd American wild ale, not sure how much it really is one but whatever, it certainly is good enough to have again despite whatever style this wants to be.

L: Had this on-tap at Capital Ale House, poured into a pint glass. Had a golden yellow color and a clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.
S: A light and fruity aroma of peaches, citrus fruit, tropical fruit, yeast, and wheat.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of yeast (not overdone, though), a good shot of citrus fruit (orange, lemon), lots of peaches (quite sweet), light wheat notes (mostly in the finish), and some tropical fruit (pineapple). A slightly different kind of flavor, but light and sweet. Not as funky as some sours, but definitely tart and lively. Tasty stuff.
F: A highly carbonated beer with a sharp finish. Light- to medium-bodied.
O: An interesting and easy to drink beer. Worth a try.
