This beer relies on the use of wild yeast—a hallmark of Belgian brewing—for its uniquely crisp and complex profile of pineapple, citrus, stone fruit, and just a hint of funk. Part wild beer, part aromatic amber ale, all balanced and delicious.

Pours a slightly hazy deep golden color, big head that falls to a bubbly layer with webs sticking yo the glass.

A mild funk hits the nose first, followed by citrus that is lemony, a bit of peach or maybe apricot. A little earthy, and some Belgian spicy yeasty notes come into play. Some peach or apricot - the taste may decide that. Mild, but pleasant. Supposedly has pineapple notes, but it is not showing up much if at all in the smell.

The taste is bigger. Lemony, pineapple shows up but is not huge, funk, earthy, and spicy peppery taste on the finish above all that. A little bit of sweetness gives it some needed balance. This one ties together pretty well. Peach comes in pretty clearly on repeated sips.

The body is medium, but the beer is fairly crisp and refreshing. A bitterness shows in the aftertaste and spiciness lingers and builds nicely. Leaves a strong peppery taste well after consumption.

Overall, not a bad beer here. It doesn't get the full blown wild treatment, as the funkiness is very much in check. Not a headliner by any means but a pleasant drinker. The absence of pineapple in the smell is confusing...
