A collaboration between Crowns & Hops Brewing Company and Allagash Brewing Company. Allagash provided their renowned Curieux bourbon barrel-aged Tripel and C&H their 8 Trill Pils. Then they blended them together for a crisp, unique sip.

A: slight haze; pale yellow in color; less than a 1 finger white head that receded quickly to a moderate tight collar; no lacing;

S: Belgian yeast comes through, but nothing else;

T: the flavor is flat, not bright; the pilsner is dominant - a little lemon and floral; traces of Belgian yeast on the finish; mild to moderate bitterness at the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: Curieux is one of my favorites, so not being able to find much character from that beer was disappointing; not a bad beer, but I wouldn't order it again because it was a let down from what I expected;

Pours a clear golden amber with ample foam in the Zunbert Trappist glass. Plenty of spritz on the tongue with a lighter mouthfeel. The oak and hints of the barrel are very intriguing, and the aromatics are lovely. The Tripel gives this a yeasty and Belgian taste, but cut with the PIlsner it's totally drinkable. Overall this is a fun and delicious brew and I wish more brewers would play with some of their flavors and mix the styles. It works well here. My can is dated 12/28/22, and most likely that's the date of all the reviewers' cans. So it's lasted very well.

Taster Choice shared by Brian, thanks for the opportunity.
This is interesting. Sweet fruity spicy earthy lightly tannic Curieux mixed with some crackery floral pilsner. Odd mash up but I thought it quite tasty.

For what it is, it's a fantastic brew. Essentially, it's billed as a concoction of a pilsner and a triple identifying as an imperial pilsner. I don't think it's a proper identification, but nevertheless it is a delicious brew.

Hazy as in sort of unfiltered, gorgeous golden hues, a complex nose and a complex yet smooth taste profile.

Not my option for a table beer, but it'll do on occasion.

From the can, it pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a modest white head that reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets some citrus with a touch of malt. The mouth follows with some slight booziness coming through, along with bourbon notes and a mild bitteness.

An interesting beer, though I've never heard of an imperial pilsner before. This one was exceedingly light in color with an ice white head, somewhat opaque but very very light yellow. It tastes decent though kinda doesn't know what it wants to be, but I guess that's the point. Apple skin, dry hops, golden cereal malts, Belgian ale style yeastiness, some barrel aged character here but not much. Mostly a cross of a pilsner and Belgian ale, which is what it is. Though it would probably serve as a fix for someone seeking a Belgian ale more than a crisp pilsner.

Can. Hazy straw gold with dense head and lace. Herbal boozy aroma with some very light apricot and grain. Medium-light sweetness with assertive lingering herbal finish. Medium-light body with soft lively carbo.

Cloudy bright yellow body, two fingers of white foam, spotted lacing. This mix is a curious one that results in a quite satisfying "farmhouse pilsner" if you will. The oak and a general fruitiness highlighted by lemon, pear, and zested orange meets a grain and hop forward pilsner in the nose. Taste is much the same, perhaps a touch less fruity, with malt filling the tiny void. Feel is very smooth and full yet sneaky crisp, not super complex but again like I said, satisfying on the palate

16 oz. can poured into a snifter glass. This Curious beer pours a light golden in color with some haze in the mix. A cap if nearly white foam lingers for a bit and can be regenerated with a spin of the glass. Aroma of belgian yeast notes initially with a hint of oaky barrel and vanilla though not so much the bourbon aspect. Taste starts like a Tripel and finishes like a smooth pils. As the carbonation settles you pick up some pils hops on the nose. Taste is otherwise clean and neutral, a pleasant melange of two quite different but not combative styles. Warming yields a fuller body and allows the sweetness of the tripel to add complexity to the feel and finish. Overall an interesting take, and at 80/20 I think a good ratio to not let either beer overwhelm the other.

Note: Canned 12/28/22 so a bit too much time on a shelf.

Poured from can into pint glass. Thin head, not long-lasting. Nice light apple juice color, a bit darker than commercial pilsners and even a bit hazy looking. Not much on the nose, perhaps a little slight herbal/tropical note (?) but to me, there wasn't any sort of stand out aroma. Very smooth and refreshing with a slight hop tang on back of tongue that doesn't linger at all. Belgian/bready note of a tripple apparent but not overpowering and I didn't pick out much of a bourbon barrel taste or feel, but that's ok. The mild (as I sense it, probably due to the lower AC) melding of the two styles makes for an interesting and really nice, though not world-class, pour. I'd buy again.
