It almost seems like a wild ale that went bad. It’s still a fine beer, but it just seems off. It’s got a bit of funk to it, but it’s stale. I don’t want to rate it too poorly but meh

Bottled July 2024
Pours a fizzy small head with fair retention, a bit of lacing, semi clear slight hazy golden straw color

Nose brings plenty of barnyard funk, Brett funk and souring bacteria, a bit lemony, grassy hay like, farmhouse earthy, general citrus and touch of musty white wine grape skin, mild buttery oak

Taste comes on fairly funky, mild souring bacteria with some tart acidity, lactic acid that gets a bit creamy, some Brett barnyard funk, farmhouse saison grassy earthy characters, lemongrass, a little honeysuckle, citrus, then into white wine with buttery oak, a touch of musty grape skin but mostly straight soft white wine, more buttery oak late, semi dry finish, a touch of bitterness

Mouth is med bod, very high effervescent slightly distracting carb, fair acidity

Overall an interesting and fun beer, not too sour or funky, nice muscat white wine in there, good buttery oak, a pleasant beer
