How do you improve upon a sour blonde ale aged in red wine barrels? By resting it on elderflowers and Blushingstar peaches for over two months. The addition of fruit and flowers allows The Cellars #13 to express a refreshingly fruity, estery profile, highlighted by a light zing of peach and notes of citrus and spice.

375ml bottle served in an Allagash chalice. Pours a lovely, translucent orange-gold with a fluffy, bright white head that slowly recedes into a thin, consistent skim. Nose is quite lovely - citrus, peaches, and floral notes. Taste follows nose - notes of citrus and peach are in the background with a funky/acidic/Brett character in the forefront. Mouthfeel is light in body with a pleasant, even carbonation and acidity just shy of assertive and a semi-dry finish. Overall, lovely, complex and drinkable.

Left out at RT for ~20 minutes before cracking, poured into a Spiegelau wheat beer glass. Got in a beer trade. Bottled 01/2025, consumed 11/02/25.
A&S: Pretty unspectacular look. Although interestingly enough, the person I was doing the tasting with, his beer had a great head to it. Off white fizzy heads. Deep saffron orange beer. Aroma contains peaches, some funk, and lemon
T&M: The taste similarly contains peaches and is semi-tart and semi-dry. A little yeasty beadiness in the finish. Mouthfeel is slightly flatter than champagne-like and light-bodied.
Overall: Really nothing crazy. I wouldn't seek it out, but it wasn't bad if you see it for a decent price.
