Golden Brett is a dark golden colored beer, brewed with Victory, 2-Row and Red Wheat malt. It was lightly hopped with a blend of Northern Brewer and Simcoe hops. The beer started it's primary fermentation in a stainless tank and finished fermentation in a 800 gallon oak foudre. The finished beer has fruity nose and flavors of citrus, apricot and bread crust. The mild tartness of the beer gives way to a long, clean finish.

Big thanks to LeRose for this gem of a wild ale. 2015 edition
Gorgeous cloudy gold with billowy topper of pure white that retreats ever so slowly to a thick cap that leaves wallpaper lace upon the glass. Stunning.
Full strength bouquet that starts with lemon limey brett and light bready notes that join forces with peppery/earthy brett, rotting fruit funk brett, and delicious citrus and stone fruit aromas that set the nasal receptors into high alert. Alluring to an insane degree.
Oh my, just an incredibly delicious taste, crazily complex. All of the aromas are translated into a balanced and blended bright and clean blast of flavors. Some sips the funk rises and some sips are joys of peach/apricot goodness. Some sips are more earthy, some sips finish with herbal bitter and floral notes. Every sip is a joy.
Drinks very easy though it is med./full body for style, with spritzy carb. that highlights and doesn't detract, and a superior clean deep and delicious finish.
What can be said about a beer that is this much of a delight to drink? How about go grab some if you see it. Absolute highest recommendation.

Bottle from 2014.
Pours clear coppery-yellow with an inch-plus of white fluff with a stretch-pour. Retention and lacing are average. Apricot, pineapple, and apples in the nose. Light bodied with a limp mouthfeel. Metallic and fruity on the palate. Pennies with apples and nectarines. Finishes dry but juicy with lingering minerals.

Moderate pour yields a more than one inch white head over a golden body with some sticky lacing. Some real nice subdued funk and oak on the nose. Flavors of tartness and funk, with a bit of sweetness on the finish. Great mouthfeel and overall I could drink this for the rest of my life. Cheers to Allagash!
