Poured into a tulip. This pours a clear golden with no head and just a hand full of bubbles along the rim.
Sour aroma with woody cedar notes. Musty with a white grape background. The pallet is a nice and slightly sour. Nice barrel notes with traces of oak and the faintest touch of bourbon finishes. Light fruity notes and a little bit of funk rounds this out.
The body is light with soft carbonation. Overall this is great. These guys are really consistently great.

Thanks to bendurgin for sharing! Poured into a tulip. The color is clear golden with small off-white lacing. Very nice.
The aroma has some nice mustyness. There is a bit of oaky aroma as well. Allagash yeast has a very distinct aroma.
The taste has some mild honey-like sweetness up front. The finish has some medium strength tartness with some lemony flavor. Very well balanced with just a hint of woody character.
This is medium bodied with soft carbonation. Very tasty.

Big thanks to Tim for sharing this bottle while at his house for The Festival. Poured into a Duvel tulip, reviewed from notes.
A - Poured a nice golden hue with a thin, quarter inch head that fades to leave a thin halo.
S - Nice aromas of curieux here (the base beer barrel). Light vanilla and light funk, gentle caramel.
T - Taste is solid. Nice funk, good barrel notes, light vanilla, slight lemon and bourbon. Nice belgian notes and some generic green fruits.
M - Mouthfeel is solid, crisp and clean.
O - Overall, a tasty beer from Allagash. Not my favourite coolship but darn good!

No head. Murky peach color
Nice Belgian sweet malt and bourbon barrel notes, little oak and vanilla, Belgian fruits, creamy caramel, sweet malt, etc, nice nose, light sour funk.
Taste stats tart and fruity, nice generic sour fruit, tart almost vinous and lemon but not quite there, light sweet malt that has dried a lot, some light wild funk but more sourness, then barrel, vanilla light bourbon like, Belgian beer characters, etc. Finish is very dry, light phlegm, nice lingering sour and tart generic fruit, light funk.
Mouth is med to lighter bod, nice dry sour beer feel, lighter carb.
Overall great! Nose didn't have as much as I hoped, but the taste brought a nice blend of Belgian beer, sour and wild funk, and good barrel.

I was able to split a bottle of this with alaimoa
Really enjoyed this beer, definitely one of the best wilds I have had. Poured nicely into a glass with little head that dissipated quickly. Smelled very nice, almost like a champagne with a hint of fruit. Tasted very nice champagny and a hint of fruit up front with the oak aging coming through at the end. Will definitely keep my eye out to see if Allagash decides to release another barrel aged wild because I probably won't see this one again.

8.1% bottled on oct 2012 . Presentation in a cool green bottle. Pours a red gold with no head and very little initial. Smells champany with chardonnay apple .. Has a similar taste of chardonnay, apple, slight sourness and a surprising champagne type of rolling carbonation and small bubbles that line the mouth. Not much of an alcohol smell or kick. Definitely a top-notch wild that if you can get your hands on, you should
