On July 8, 2013, Team BeerAdvocate ventured to Portland, Maine to brew the official Belgian Beer Fest beer at Allagash Brewing Company. In keeping with our tradition of creating two unique beers out of one, the base beer was brewed with a 2-row blend, raw and malted wheat and oats, hopped with a blend of Northern Brewer, Nelson Sauvin and Glacier hops and 100% fermented in Portuguese Douro wine barrels.
Jumeau (French for "Twin") is a light golden colored ale fermented with Brettanomyces Drei yeast. The finished beer has an earthy aroma with hints of bread crust. The flavor has a citrus rind character in the finish with a dry, light body.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
