Appearance: Orange glass holds a thin cover of off white foam that gives up a little lace.
Aroma: Orange peel, hop driven citric and earthy notes. A hint of crystal malt supports the bitter.
Taste: Body is a little thin, hops got a bit tea like and not as bitter as I expected given the nose. A little melanoidin almost smokey note in the malt makes it taste a bit like an Oktoberfest.
Mouthfeel: Medium light body, medium heavy carbonation combo makes it a little fizzy. Prickly finish.
Overall: Not a super hoppy IPA. It's not "catty" which is good. The malt has some depth of flavor but a little light to support a real hoppy load. Comes across like a hoppy APA, lighter drinking hot day kind of beer, a little watered down. No serious flaws, maybe a mild metallic note but I had to go looking for it. In general it's worth a shot to see if it does anything for you. I'm happy with the singles I got, but don't see going back for a 6.
One of my first tastes of Bitter Sisters, I'll be looking to try other offerings.

A bubbly tan froth goes berserk above this copper colored brew. I'll wait a bit. Piney hops with vegetal and metallic notes to the nose. Tastes of caramel and hops and fruit, and why not? Lighter than most and drinkable, but nondescript.
Can't find a fault with this one, but can't get excited about it either.
