The friendly worker bees at Honky Tonk Brewing crowned this tasty Blonde Ale as the King Bee. It is fermented with a generous helping of Florida Orange Blossom Honey, brewed with a hint orange zest and balanced by a citrus zing from Cascade hops.

This was another beer that I picked up at the Casual Pint in Pigeon Forge, when I passed through it on the way home from being out west over the summer. Not a giant fan of this style and aside from the lack of overt honey, I enjoyed this as something casual to kick back with as this true to form and as easygoing as a beer could be(e)!
No surprise that this had a blonde hue to it with just a bit of dark sediment floating in the liquid. Plenty of foam topped this off as the lacing left behind was quite extensive, especially near the top. Lots of floral notes, orange zest, and yeast in the nose as the taste was tangy, light, and refreshing. The earthiness emerged as this warmed up a lively carbonation to it and some grain and cereal reinforcing the body. Not a lot of sweetness or stickiness here as this felt like a Pale Lager more than anything else.
No date was written on the bottom of the can although this was plenty fresh and bright enough on this mild autumn day. While not a bad beer, this could have been great with some honey and another hop thrown into the mix. In actuality, thi was a fun Blonde Ale that felt like it was from Florida. Hard to imagine anyone not enjoying this!

If you're expecting a big honey flavor this isn't it but if you want a great blonde ale this is it... I'm not even a fan of blondes but this one is on point..

Pours hazy, gold in color with half inch head. Taste is honey and earthy hops. Light bodied, sweet, with medium high carbonation. Above average beer but really wanted more honey taste out of this. Probably a pass in the future.
