Poured from 500mL green bottle into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 9/30/23.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a very slight haze and a thin layer of white foam that disappears pretty quickly. Color is good, though.
Smell: light and malty, there's almost a hint of unfermented wort in this beer, like an NA beer or something. Not great, not terrible.
Taste: much like the aroma, there's some malt here, but it's kinda bland. Hop bitterness is present, which is nice. The ingredient list confirms there are no adjuncts here (thanks, EU regulators!), but while fine, it's not especially alluring.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess. You can't fault it there.
Overall: at the end of the day, this is just another green-bottle European pale lager that maybe doesn't make it to the store at its best. Maybe someday I'll make it to Romania and check this out at the source.

Is this the same as the Tiltott Csíki? Was this just renamed during the Heineken lawsuit? It seems completely identical with it though, I don't remember it's taste by now so I can just as well think of them in whatever way.
Actually I need to say that although it claims to be a Czech Pilsener it is rather a raw/craft lager not a lezák, at least I guess it is not made with Saaz hops... maybe in its smell you discover faintly the Zatec but it is not as richly hopped as the Czech original.
Still it is quite okay and nice, kind of enjoy it more by the end as opposed to a normal lager that would get worse. Should appreciate it as it is one of the best Hungarian breweries.

Clear golden color, slightly off-white head with poor retention. Aroma is mostly malty with grainy notes and some bread crust. Taste is clean, malty, a bit astringent, light earthy hop bitterness on the finish. Light body with medium plus carbonation. It's a clean and crisp lager but it lacks any depth of flavor.
