Grand Rounds Brewpub

Had this on tap at the brewpub and then again from a week-old crowler. Pours a very thickly hazed almost milky light orange, with a crown of white head and decent lacing. Nose is a lot of grapefruit rind, juicy citrus...yep, lots of it. Taste and mouthful are interesting...has a fairly full but soft feel to it, and is also kind of chewy and grainy. Not at all juicy in a sweet way...and kind of dry at the end too...in a pithy way. I have no familiarity with the NE IPA thing, but I'm guessing this is close. At any rate, it is quite good and different from all the other ipas I know and love. And it does a lot with 5.2 abv. Between this and Mo Citra, Grand Rounds deserves some serious props.

Beer J pours a a cloudy brighter yellow color. Hoppy aroma. Flavor is hoppy with a nice dry finish. Good body and feel. Overall, a very nice solid IPA, great hop flavor, with a dry finish, really put forward the hop flavors.
