Bee's Knees Brewpub

Decent little spot. 4 beers on-draught, all 4.20-4.50% ABV and offered at 110 baht per 1/3 of a litre or 165 baht per 500ml. You can get all 4 to taste for 45 baht.

Staff is friendly, speaks English, and is knowledgeable.

No credit cards, unfortunately. Food is a nut assortment - nothing filling, but salty snacks are nice.

Brewing equipment is visible from the bar.

No bottles to go or anything.

It's nice to have some flavourful beer after suffering through Chang and the like in Thailand, but to be frank the beers just plain aren't great. I'd go back to support the brewery, but the beers on offer need work.

This place has some fantastic beer - and the only place with real selection on Koh Samui. They have four beers. I tried all of them on a sample platter. All good, but I very much liked the Black Bee (chocolate coffee porter) and the Wheaty Bee (wheat beer). The Pilsner was refreshing and the ESB had a great taste. I ended up getting a 1/2 L of the Wheaty Bee. We were there on a Tuesday evening - and a bit early at that. For that reason, it was pretty empty. I've heard they have live jazz and a good atmosphere at better times. They didn't seem to have their own food, at least while we were there. Ours came from a Thai place next door, but I can't complain because it was quite good. All in all, a great craft beer place and the only authentic craft beer in Koh Samui.
