Dark brown pour, frothy tan head, some nice lacing. Nose says coffee, lots of it. Taste of old bitter 4:30 am gas station coffee. Fairly thick, smooth and creamy.

Poured from 12 oz can into shaker pint glass. Canned on 11/20/19 stamped on the bottom of the can. 10% ABV.
A: Pours an extremely dark brown with 1 inch frothy tan head with excellent retention.
S: Chocolatey and roasted malts. Dark roast coffee with cream.
T: A strong note of lovely dark roast coffee with cream. Dark bitter chocolate and some toasted nuttiness.
M: Light body. Dark sweetness with a stronger roasted bitterness.
D: Very nice dark roast coffee with cream note. A bit of a one-hit wonder, but that one note is stupendous.

dark black with a mocha head. smells like your coffee grounds you threw in the trash.. weeks ago. taste is dark, bitter and roasty, with a tiny hint of dark chocolate and burning alcohol at the finish. digging deep i find dark fruit and not much else
good and different, a dark stout with almost no sweetness or added flavor besides coffee

Lupulin Polarnattens Paradis Imperial Coffee Stout, 10% ABV. Pours thick and black, with a 1+ finger tan head that left solid foamy lacing. Nose is all coffee. Taste is coffee, some chocolate and anis, slightly sweet, moderately bitter. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Solid blackness, rich brown head above.
In the nose: intense cocoa and coffee, rich malt. Beautiful. Warm and flavorful.
In the mouth: the anise hits first on the palate, with malt rushing in, and cocoa and coffee joining the fray. Anise remains on top of it, and I've got no problem with that. Spicy rye malt holds it down. Full body, full flavor, richly rewarding.
I liked this one quite a bit, although I did drink it just a little out of season.

12oz can. 2018 edition - consumed Jan. 2020. Poured out an opaque, inky black color with a good-sized, light brown head of foam. It smelled of licorice, chocolate and toffee. Strong licorice taste with toffee, chocolate and hints of coffee.

Poured from a can into a tulip.
Pours an opaque brownish black; viscous but not motor-oil time. One of the darkest of dark tan heads I've seen on an AIS.
Roasted malts very forward, manifesting primarily in a strong coffee presence, along with a variety of chocolate aromas--semi sweet, cake batter, brownie. Hints of anise and cinnamon.
The brew hits the tip of the tongue with a mixture of bitter and sweet coffee and chocolate with a caramel malt supporting cast. Roasted grains arrive in midstream, along with cassia, clove, and anise flavors that carry through to the finish. This is a sweet but tasty winter-warmer style imperial stout.
The brew is full bodied, but decently carbonated.
I may be biased in favor of a local favorite, but overall, this is a fabulous imperial coffee stout with some solid but not heavy-handed winter warmer spices. One of my favorite new brews of the year.
