Lupulin Imperial Raspberry Truffle Porter, 9% ABV. Pours black and moderately thick with a 2+ finger light brown head that left foamy lacing. Nose is light raspberry, taste follows, a bit sweet a bit tart, almost no bitterness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding. Not tasting any truffles, but who would want mushrooms in a beer (other than Snörkel).

Pours as deep brown as one can possibly imagine and is a delight to behold. A strong waft of deep raspberry rises from the glass, hinting at a deeply complex flavor. The head on this beer is full of tiny bubbles, occasionally sporting a darker, larger bubble. On taste, the raspberry flavor, promised earlier, does not disappoint. This is one powerfully raspberry flavored beer. Smooth, chocolate notes are present though pushed out of the way by raspberry and followed up by a bitter note at the back of the throat. As the beer warms a bit, it gains in complexity and body, lingering all the way down. The 16 ounce embossed can is one of the most beautiful to hold and view of any beer I've sampled. A strong entry that can sit beside many other imperial porters with pride.

Pours dark brown (near black) with a thick mocha colored head that has decent retention and leaves great lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malt, raspberry and chocolate. Flavor follows the nose with raspberry being the more pronounced flavor, sweet but not cloying. Feel is medium bodied with adequate carbonation. Overall a very nice dessert beer.

Dark brown color, slim brown ring of foam, reddish tint.
In the nose: Raspberry on top, dark malts and chocolate just below. Sweet 'n' tart. Highly likable.
In the mouth: Big fruity, chocolate and raspberry. Deeply decadent. Lush and lovely. Rich and delicious. I am enjoying this. Raspberry flavor bumps up against bittersweet chocolate, again and again. Just about wonderful.
Go out and get you some. You won't be sorry.

Poured from 12oz can into glass. One of a special 4-pack of Lupulin truffle beers. Stamped can date is '11/05/18'.
Dark cola colored body. Skiff of head upon pouring quickly disappears. Dots of lacing slide back down into body.
Aroma of raspberry and chocolate. Roasted malts underneath.
Taste is a melding of tart raspberry and chalky chocolate. Roasted malt body. No bitterness. The taste is a teetering between the fruit and the bean.
Mouth feel is medium. Lower carbonation.
Good solid porter base allows the raspberry and the chocolate to balance against each other to create a taste profile that is sweet and tart. Neither wins against the other but the enjoyment is how the two add on tastes resonate within the tasting experience.

Imperial Raspberry Truffle pours an almost black color, with no head. Looks like soda. Big sweet aroma, with lots of raspberries. Flavor is big and sweet, lots of raspberry, with chocolate mixed in, tastes like a fruit filled candy bar. Good body and feel. Overall, very sweet, like a candy bar, save it for desert.

Part of the imperial truffle porter 4-pack of 12 oz cans. Not much in the way of head but otherwise looks nice. Timid aroma with just a hint of raspberry. Flavor is much better than the chocolate version of this beer. More complex flavor and not as much alcohol heat. The raspberry is not overbearing but complimenting the porter base. Nice body and carbonation.

This variation is better than the chocolate. Sweeter with smoother taste. Giving it a better rating.
