Not sure if this is supposed to be a NE Style IPA. Their info on their website is kind of basic. it looks a little that way....hazy and cloudy....nice frothy head. the taste though is not along the typical NE IPA lines...
Very fresh aroma...floral and piney....some light citrus as well (tangerines).
Really a nice flavor to this one.....floral and piney but with a perfect light, but somewhat sweet malt backbone. Hints of tangerines and mandarin oranges as well.
Body and feel is spot on.....enough heft to feel like an IPA, but light enough to feel highly drinkable. Perfect carbonation.
This is an excellent IPA....almost unique in flavor these days but highly enjoyable with the heavy floral/pine notes....oily hop flavor and not a biting bitterness but just a lingering kiss of hops...
It may not be for everyone and those weaned on all these citra/mosaic heavy IPA's these days (which I certainly enjoy as well) may not appreciate it as much but it is really a top notch IPA.
