West Coast Style Double IPA
You forget a thousand things a day, pal... but this piney hop blast ain't one of 'em. They said Lupulin is all about that haze, bro. They be trippin'. This old school banger screams drop-tops, 20 inch rims, sunsets, and hip hop so loud, the neighbors will hear you rollin' up for miles.

Pours a cloudy (at first) gold amber that clears as it sits. Thick white head leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is a mix of citrus fruit and pine. Flavor follows the nose, sweet fruit followed by bitter piney hops. Feel is medium bodied, a bit sticky and adequately carbonated. Overall, another real fine beer from the folks at Lupulin.

Medium amber/gold with a nice off-white fluffy head that retains well. Good lacing.
Classic WCIPA aromas--grapefruit, resin, slightly sweet malt.
Flavors follow. Honey-kissed pale malts on the tip of the tongue surrender quickly to white grapefruit flesh and pith before the resins and some booze take over the conclusion. Nothing fancy. Just a straightforward double WCIPA.
Solidly medium bodied (perhaps a touch more). The creamy body gives way to a moderate but drying finish.
An above-average WCIPA for sure.

Poured from pint can into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a very clear golden yellow hue with 1 inch bubbly white head with decent retention. Not quite the typical West coast appearance.
S: Soft pine with dank grapefruit and orange.
T: Definitely lots of pine resin. Dank grapefruit and hint of orange.
M: Light body. Moderately bitter with soft citrus sweetness.
D: Decent brew, especially if you are looking for a dominant pine hop note. Not quite consistent with style.

Poured a straw-gold body with large head and spider lacing reminiscent of classic west coast DIPA. Smell is malty, biscuit-like and has some grapefruit along with piney and citric hops. The beer has a thicker, malty taste with a smidge of stickiness along with a tab bit of oily citric hops and grapefruit.

16oz can with a date of 06/11/21. Obviously touted as a West Coast IPA so hopefully this imperial IPA is a proper IPA. Clear pale amber color with a small head. Aroma of overripe citrus, slight dankness, and vague pine forest. They say this is piney, I don't get this at it seems like a Citra and Mosaic hopped beer and not using good ole C-hops. Also not very bitter. Mostly citrus, MJ, and fruit salad. Not sure if that fruit flavor is from the hops or yeast esters. Very dry with slight alcohol burn. Nice body and suitably carbonated. Not a classic WC IPA as it lacks the bitterness, is dryer, and more fruity than the great ones of yore. Not as advertised.

Pours a clear glowing golden color with good lacing and head. Smell is pine and caramel malts. Mouth feel is old school pine hops bitter and pungent offset by sweet caramel malts . Mouth feel is pine with some grapefruit rind. Very good retro WCIPA hits all the notes for the style.

I bought a 4-pack and now it's gone! Lupulin is making many good ones. Haven't had one I haven't liked.

West coast BA tasting weekend! Murky dark amber with a cream cap. Piney hops, orange, and huge grapefruit with some lighthearted dankness in the nose. Taste mirrors the nose, crisp finish with the hops with a kiss of resin. Feel is crisp, medium bodied, decently carbonated, and pretty much typical west coast in every way with the malt backbone setting everything up for the hops.

Single. 16 oz. canned 6/10/20.. Nice artwork.
The pour is Goldilocks with tons of lacing & head, if you’re into that sort of thing. The nose is…thick, if that’s a smell, pungent sweetness & fruit mélange. Interesting.
West Coast Bias is real, but the question is, the west coast of what? The first impression is this has the body of a big stout – thick, badass, coating, very not like an IPA. Then papaya, which is grown on the west coast. Juicy, mild bitterness, sweet caramel runs the finish like Lou Brock. Sixteen ounces isn’t too much.
Strange beer. Judging by west coast standards, this stubs a toy, falls down, breaks a nose. As is, it’s an interesting concoction with a fantastic mouthfeels. Pretty good brew.

Poured a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. Great aroma - pine, grapefruit and orange. Sweet citrus fruit flavors with a piney bitterness. Nice toasted caramel backbone.
