Purchased 11/27/20 and poured 1/10/21, 750ml capped bottle, warmed in room for 30 minutes from fridge. "A blend of 15+ month barrel-aged barrels of Barrel God Imperial Stout & Whiskey Nuts Imperial Brown Ale, with Ugandan & Madagascar vanilla beans added to the barrels during the final 3 months of aging."
No head, slight short-live ring, but nice legs. Very dark brown with reddish hint. Aroma mostly dark cherry and plum with some chocolate and marshmallow. Flavor is complex and intense. Dark roast, cherry/plum, vanilla, some leather and tobacco. Candy flavor in background (watermelon jelly belly). Fabulous. Mouthfeel included low carbonation (expected) but not flat. Alcohol shows but not objectionable (expected). Leaves an oily feel in mouth.
Wow! This is special. As complex as a bourbon-soaked fruit cake but earthier and less sweet. Warming and dangerously drinkable for its ABV. This was a great score.
