Poured into a nonic.
Pours lightly hazed and dark gold. Very limited head or lacing (as expected for the style).
On the nose, lime, brine, brown sugar, vanilla, and apple.
Lime acidity at the very outset on the tip of the tongue. Cinnamon/brown sugar/apple notes in midstream, which were a pleasant surprise. Some vanilla and brine notes at the close. Overall, a remarkably "rounded" gose experience.
Medium-light body. An interesting tingly finish. Not refreshing per se, but nice.
"interesting" can sometimes be a subtle knock on a brew. Not so here. This hits all of the right notes for a Gose, yet delivers some very unique flavors. The front of the palate is key lime pie. The second half brings some sneaky apple pie notes. Yet they don't clash. Tasty.
