16oz can from Tavour. Black, oily pour, slick, flat. Rich, roasty aroma, notes of vanilla. Chocolate/ cacao come out in the taste, dark, roasty bitterness, sweetness. Thick, slippery, creamy. Barrels not prominent, nor is the ABV.

Fished this 16 oz. can out of the back of the fridge where it’s been lurking for a few months. Split with my wife after an old episode of Breaking Bad.
Black. Nose is shockingly light. Touch of sweet malt. Full stop. Much like the base beer.
Barrel Aged Lateralus follows the Lupulin pattern: nothing remarkable here. My 14th beer from this local brewery & I’ve never had anything poor… or anything excellent. They define “pretty good” beer that you can mindlessly sip away while sitting on the deck waiting for the hamburgers to cook. The beer? Oh. A little chocolate, a little vanilla, sweetness, with a touch of warm barrel in the throat. Eight ounces will be enough.
Pretty dull, everything is turned down to 4 rather than amped up to 11 like I’d prefer. Decent & forgettable.
