Tap pour at the brewery. Served chilled in a 10oz snifter glass.
Black colored body. Light tan head. Leaves behind ragged strings of lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts, with chocolate, and floral/herbal hops.
Taste is chocolate malts, with a bit of char, and a lesser precense of pine and herbal hops. Dark chocolate and pine juice in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel with a bit of resin stickiness. Dry finish. Good carbonation.
Black IPA that emphasizes the chocolate malts but the hops are there as a lingering pine resin. Both work well together.
