A - Pours a mildly hazy orange, some silt visible, with a white head, fading to a tin cap, and extensive small bubble lacing.

S - A mix of hoppy funk, earthiness and dank aspects, and bright fruit of passionfruit and guava, pineapple and lime citrus.

T - The earthy notes come forward, a bit of grapefruit citrus and pith, a cracker malt pops up briefly in the middle, and a mild limestone note over ongoing bitterness in the finish.

M - Moderate weight, dry build, with just a touch of resin forming on the tongue over time.

O - A solid fresh hop brew, tasty and drinkable.

This is what the brewery says. Hops: Citra Cryo; Mosaic Cryo; Simcoe T-90; Cryo Fresh Simcoe; Cryo Fresh Citra; Cryo Fresh Mosaic
Malts: Prairie Malt 2-Row; Pilsner; Dextrine Malt.

Our Fresh Hops series celebrates the harvest season with a modern twist, dry-hopped exclusively with Yakima Chiefs Cryo™ Fresh hops. Flash-frozen straight off the bine, these hops lock in just-picked vibrancy, then cryo-processed to amplify their aromatic punch.

Okay, so...it has some good hoppy things going for it, but it isn't green and dank in the way non-flash-frozen fresh hop beers can be. Bought a 4 pack as soon as it was delivered to my local store: this is the last tallboy. I've enjoyed it. Into a nonic, pour is a very slightly hazed goldenrod and honey, with a thin crown of a head and minimal retention and lacing. Nose is lots of resiny pine and bright citrus, and also a little warm spice, bready pilsner malt. Taste isn't as resiny and bitter as I expected from the nose, lots of citrus hops, maybe some berry notes, too. It is fresh-tasting and very enjoyable and hop-forward, but nothing too bitter or dank or green. Some warming bready malt notes at the finish, which is interesting...and it gets a little vegetal at the end, too, which is not there at the beginning or on the nose. Mouthful is medium and it's a very wet mouthful without much in the way of a dry or bitter finish, though my tongue is coated with hop oils.
