I got myself a full pour of Smokier Mountain, which filled the large snifter a muddled hue of red clay under a thick khaki head that settled down to a stretch mark film and thick curled collar.
The smoke is described as applewood, but it even has hints of mesquite with an herbal quality. The smoke is mild and almost salty, making the brew quite scrumptious overall.
The medium body's fine yet fluffy carbonation finishes semi-dry.
It's a fitting pour because we just camped the Smokies as well, and while the towns surrounding the Smokies were even more obnoxious than the much smaller Hot Springs, at least the respite inside the grounds was far more fitting a National Park.
